EARLY SITUATIONAL DESTRUCTION!
(MLB) Atlanta vs. NY Mets,
Money Line: -215.00 NY Mets (Home)
Result: Loss
This is 5* SITUATIONAL DESTRUCTION on the New York Mets.

Sometimes a favorite is a favorite for a reason. And in this case, we feel that Noah Syndergaard could easily be a -300 favorite in this matchup, as we have no faith whatsoever in ancient knuckle-baller RA Dickey and the Braves inconsistent offense.

Dickey: He's 1-2 with a 3.86 ERA thus far. Most recently he gave up three runs off three hits and two walks over seven innings in an eventual 3-2 loss to the Nationals on Thursday. At first glance, his numbers don't look too bad (1.39 WHIP), but when you dig a little deeper and look at his 13:7 K:BB and 5.18 FIP, it would seem that the veteran has been getting the job done with smoke and mirrors.

Syndergaard: He's 1-1 with a 1.73 ERA. He wasn't at his best in his last start, giving up five runs (three earned), off seven hits over seven innings in a loss to Philadelphia on Thursday. He did go on to strike out ten though. Syndergaard is now up to 26 innings without giving up a walk, upping him to an impressive 30:00 K:BB through those 26 frames of work.

The bottom line: Note that Atlanta is just 1-4 (-3 units) this year in all "day" games, while New York is 62-38 (+17 units) in its last 100 "day" contests. After getting smashed 8-2 yesterday, we look for the home side to respond this afternoon. Lay the price with confidence, play on the METS.
