(NBA) Washington vs. Boston,
Total: 211.00 | -105.00 Over
Result: Loss
Total: 211.00 | -105.00 Over
Result: Loss
This is a 10* TOTAL OF THE WEEK on the UNDER between the Washington Wizards and the Boston Celtics.
We don't subscribe to any single handicapping methodology, but instead feel that being flexible with ones approach is the best way to secure profits over the longterm. Sometimes we keep it simple, while other times we'll take into account numerous different factors, like motivation, scheduling and significant injuries. Recognizing classic "spot bets" is something we always do as well, IE: the "look ahead" spot, the "let down" spot and the "trap" game. One set of criteria which we always use when making our decisions are Against The Spread (ATS) statistics.
This particular play is based on a few different factors:
As note that Washington has seen the total go UNDER the number in two of its last three when tied in a playoff series, while Boston has seen the total go UNDER in 19 of 31 against good offensive teams which score 106-plus points per contest and in three of its last four in trying to revenge a loss against an opponent.
The bottom line: Game 6 was a nail-biter, with John Wall hitting the go ahead 3-pointer as time ran off the clock in Washington's eventual 92-91 victory. We're expecting a full on war in Game 7 as well. This has become a very aggressive series and it would seem that things will only get escalated this evening. A slower affair = less shots and less shots = less points. Play the UNDER.
