We like Bayer Leverkusen to defeat Werder Bremen on Saturday at 12:30pm ET for a number of reasons. Here are some of the more important ones:

Bayer Leverkusen haven't nearly been as clinical as last season so far this year. They've suffered a defeat already this Bundesliga season and are off a draw against Brest in the Champions League. But, this is a very good matchup for them.

Werder Bremen play in high scoring games. They've conceded 11 goals over their last four games and that includes a 5-0 loss against Bayern when they were the home team.

Bayer Leverkusen will be able to take full advantage of that in our opinions. Wirtz looked awesome, like always in the UCL affair and they should get Boniface back for this game which will be big for them.

In the last two meetings, Leverkusen have outscored the hosts 8-0. They also won the match before that 3-2.

When all is said and done, the defending Bundesliga champs will run away with this game and win by more than a goal.
