The Toronto Maple Leafs are looking to keep building on their three consecutive wins over which time they've scored a total of 11 goals. The Arizona Coyotes are coming off a 6-5 win over the Capitals in Washington on Sunday, and I think we will see plenty of goals in this contest as well.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. The Coyotes D - No team in the NHL has allowed more goals than the Coyotes this season. They are ranked dead last allowing 42 goals over 11 games. They have conceded nine goals with a man in the penalty box, with five of those goals coming on the last 11 chances and are killing off only roughly 74% of their penalties for the season.
2. Trends - To say that these two teams have a history of playing high scoring games is an understatement. All of the last six meetings in Arizona have gone over and only two of the last 16 meetings overall have gone under. I can't see why this game would be any different.
3. X-factor - The Coyotes defender Keith Yandle is ranked at 10th place in the NHL with his 46 shots. He only has one goal to show for it so far but has nine assists as plenty of his shots gets deflected in the net and is playing a big part in the team's 25% success rate on the power play.
Selection: This is a play on TOR@ARI to go over the total (10*)
