Both the Capitals and the Penguins scored a bunch of goals in their opening series victories. Pittsburgh needed just five games to get past Columbus, while Washington moved past Toronto in six. This is a big time revenge situation for Washington, as Pittsburgh knocked it out of the second round in six games in last years playoffs. We know these teams can score. But each is also extremely adept on the defensive end and each is backed by experienced and red hot goaltenders. Marc Andre Fleury posted a 2.58 ERA against the Blue Jackets, while Braden Holtby had a 2.34 ERA against the Leafs. We think each team comes out a bit tenativie to open this series, a crucial factor which will help in pushing Game 1 UNDER the number.
