Two teams which have at times struggled to put points on the board collide on Saturday night, but we feel that the conditions finally lend themselves to a higher-scoring shootout. Wake comes in refreshed and refocused after its bye, last losing 28-14 to then No. 2 Clemson on the road on October 7th, while Georgia Tech's three game win skein was stopped in last week's 25-24 road loss at No. 11 Miami last Saturday. So far Wake averages 30.7 PPG and allows 16.7. QB John Wolford has 947 passing yards, eight TD's and one INT, while RB Arkeem Byrd has 267 yards and a major score on the ground. The Yellow Jackets average 34 PPG and concede 20.2. QB TaQuan Marshall has 388 yards and five TD's, while also adding a team-leading 541 rushing yards and another nine scores. Note that the Yellow Jackets possess the nation's third best rushing attack with 362 yards per game. Note as well that Wake Forest has seen the total go OVER the number in two of its last three as a road dog in the 3.5 to seven points range, while Georgia Tech has seen the total go OVER in its last two as a home favorite in the 3.5 to seven points range.
