This is a 6* SITUATIONAL BLOWOUT BEATDOWN on the Atlanta Braves.
The Braves will be desperate today, they're looking to avoid another three-game sweep at home after falling 4-0 to the last place Phillies yesterday. Atlanta has been outscored 15-1 over its last four games and while slugger Justin Upton is likely going to be sitting out due to injury, I still think the home side finds a way to get the job done at the end of the afternoon. A date vs. rookie David Buchanan is just what the doctor ordered to get untracked as well, he's 0-2 with a 3.04 ERA over his last four starts. The home side counters with Ervin Santana (13-7, 3.53 ERA) who has gone 6-1 with a 2.62 ERA over his last nine starts while striking out 59 over 58 1/3's innings of work. Most recently Santana would give up one run over six frames in a 5-2 win over the Fish on Friday. I'm going to give the slight nod to Santana on the bump and that's going to be more than enough to tip the scales in our favor and make this a price that I have no problem in paying; play on ATLANTA.
