Stephen Nover's Money Line in the Bank Casher
(NFL) New Orleans vs. Atlanta, 09/07/2014 9:00 AM, Score: 34 - 37
Money Line: -144.00 New Orleans (Away)
Result: Loss
The Falcons should be better than last year, but they aren't nearly the division champs they were of two seasons ago.

The Saints are legitimate Super Bowl contenders with a number of key players in their prime. As good as Matt Ryan is, he takes a backseat to Drew Brees.

The Falcons lack the size and physical toughness to beat an elite team such as New Orleans. It was a blow for the Falcons to lose linebacker Sean Weatherspoon and offensive left tackle Sam Baker for the season. The Saints also are inside the Falcons' heads having won six of the past seven meetings.

Rob Ryan has brought respectability, if not a very good defense, to the Saints. The Falcons can't match the Saints defensively and don't have as much firepower on offense.

The Saints have covered 68 percent of their last 35 games on carpet. They proved their road mettle in the playoffs beating the Eagles in cold weather last season. New Orleans also defeated the Bears at Soldier Field. Playing inside a dome is a natural setting for the Saints.
