Result: Push
This is a 10* play on the Philadelphia Phillies.

The Phillies have the worst record in the major leagues, but they are just three games under .500 at home. They host the Washington Nationals in the second game of this three game series at Citizen's Bank Park this afternoon, and I think they stand an excellent chance of winning this game outright.

Gio Gonzalez will toe the slab for the Nats, and he's coming off an impressive performance in a home win over the Pirates his last time out. Gonzalez (5-4, 4.41 ERA) tossed seven scoreless innings in that game, but he hasn't been very sharp on the road. He was torched for five runs on eight hits over just 3 1/3 innings in a loss at Tampa in his last start away from home. He's 2-3 with a 5.89 ERA in eight starts on the road, and he's also struggled in day games.

The Phillies hand the ball to rookie Adam Morgan, who was sharp in his debut. The 25 year old southpaw allowed one run on six hits, striking out a half a dozen over 5 2/3 innings in a 9-2 home win over St. Louis.

Ben Revere was 1-for-1 with a home run last night, and he's hit 10-for-25 (.400) lifetime versus Gonzalez. The Phillies lineup as a whole is hitting a solid .272 against the Southpaw.

Take PHI.
