The Edmonton Oilers ended a four-game slide as they defeated the Coyotes 4-3 in a shootout Saturday. I like their chances of building on that performance with another win when hosting the Carolina Hurricanes Monday night.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Home Cookin' - The Oilers have won eight of their last 10 home at Rexall Place with the losses coming against the surging Kings and the Ducks. They've won five of the last six head-to-head meetings with the Canes at Edmonton.
2. Taylor Hall - The 24 year old Canadian is among the league leaders with 41 points, and he's been extremely productive home at Rexall Place with 11 goals and 17 assists. He has one goal and two assists in two home meetings with the Hurricanes.
3. X-Factor - Justin Faulk leads the Canes with 14 goals and 30 points this season, but he's been blanked in three straight games.
