ASU has a high powered offense, but the one defense team they played Auburn, they were slowed down scoring single digits. Memphis will counter with a defensive unit which has been stingy, especially against the run. The Tigers held MTSU to 60 rushing yards, including none in the second half, and just 284 yards of total offense, 150 yards below MT's season average entering the game.

They will slow down Arkansas State on third down. They have kept a ton of drives alive this year, but against defenses not as good as the Tigers.

Defensively, Arkansas State ranks second nationally in tackles for loss, averaging 9.7 per game. It will stay in the low 40s.
