Washington State vs Boise State
(NCAAB) Cougars (WSU) vs. Broncos (BSU),
Point Spread: 8.50 | -109.00 Cougars (WSU) (Away)
Result: Win
Though a chance high-scoring G Cedric Coward (17.7 ppg) remains out with his shoulder injury, as has been the case the past three games, Wazzu looks to have a puncher's chance in Boise on Saturday. The Cougs have won two of three without Coward, both of those Ws against other Mountain West foes (Fresno and Nevada). Though new HC David Riley loaded up his roster with transfers, many coming with him from nearby EWU, it was holdover Isaiah Watts who led the charge at Reno on Monday with 17 points. Four starters scored in double digits for Wazzu, while U-Dub transfer G Nate Calmese chipped in with a career-best seven assists. Losses to USF and Boston College were both downers for the Broncos, who lost a 66-61 verdict to WSU at Spokane last December. Note this game being played downtown at Idaho Central Arena, not the Broncos' usual Extra Mile Arena home court. Play WSU (at Idaho Central Bank Arena)
