True, Iowa did venture out to Kansas City for a game vs. Utah State, but every other game to date has been played in Iowa City. We'll start to see what Fran McCaffery's side really has when the Hawkeyes go to Ann Arbor this afternoon. There is some size, experience, and skill in Iowa's lineup paced by 6-10 Owen Freeman (17.3 ppg), 6-8 Payton Sandfort (16.1 ppg), and 6-6 wing Josh Dix (13 ppg), all into at least their third season in the program. But Big Ten sources do not believe Iowa is a sound defensive team or much on the boards, the latter reflected in the Utags' 47-31 rebound edge in the win at KC on November 22. Meanwhile, Dusty May looks like he has the Wolverines firing on all cylinders, romping past Virginia Tech and Xavier and winning at Wisconsin in recent games...and none of those at Ann Arbor. May's merry band of transfers are coagulating nicely, with an imposing frontline pair of ex-Yale Danny Wolf (12 ppg) and May's ex-FAU Vladislav Goldin (scored 24 in the Wiscy win) wreaking all sorts of havoc for the opposition.
