UCLA at Oregon
(NCAAB) Bruins (UCLA) vs. Ducks (ORE),
Point Spread: -3.50 | -108.00 Ducks (ORE) (Home)
Result: Loss
Perhaps the Bruins' next move will be into the Big West. After all, not exactly a murderer's row schedule for UCLA, with a series of Quad 3 & 4 wins since being dumped by New Mexico four weeks ago in Henderson. The most-accomplished victim, Washington, was just hammered by 25 points against a modest USC on Saturday. Though the Bruins' shooting has improved slightly, they're still barely 32% from beyond the arc, and USC transfer G Kobe Johnson (just 41.7% from floor and 22% with his triples) continues to misfire. Some Bruin observers wonder if Mick Cronin is soon to give more minutes to frosh G Trent Perry, who only got two minutes of court time last Tuesday vs. the Huskies. Meanwhile, the Ducks are rolling at 9-0 and up to No. 12 in the polls, with an impressive title in the Players Era Tourney last week in las Vegas when Alabama among others was vanquished. Keeping 7-1 C Nate Bittle (14 ppg & 9 rpg) healthy for the first time in a couple of years has been a nice plus for Dana Altman. Play Oregon
