This looks a pretty big ask for a Preds team to lay this sort of a price while it is in the midst of a chilling slump. After all, Nashville is winless in seven straight, scoring only 11 goals across the length of that skid, with the offense really grinding to a halt in the last two games at Montreal and Ottawa, scoring just once across the two games combined. Despite repeated votes of confidence from Barry Trotz and others upstairs in the organization, it would appear as if HC Andrew Brunette is on a very short leash these days. Calgary has lost six of seven itself, but is at least scoring some goals, something Nashville is not these days.
