IPFW has some "totals" trends to watch as the Mastodons going "over" on a regular basis (three straight and seven of nine) shouldn't come as too much of a surprise given the veteran lineup at the disposal of long-serving HC Jon Coffman. Multi-year starting Gs Jalen Jackson and Rasheed Bello are combining for 34 ppg and bolstering an offense scoring at an 82 ppg clip and also operating very efficiently, keeping turnovers to a minimum and a very positive 14-0-9.6 assist-TO ratio. Though the status of EMU's top scorer G Jalen Terry (who missed the Dec. 3 loss to Loyola-0CHicago) is to eb determined, the Eagles have found other scoring threats who are now carrying the burden, including a pair of transfers, G Christian Henry (25 pg across the last two) and DePaul transfer F Da'Sean Nelson (19 ppg last three).
