Grand Canyon at La Tech
(NCAAB) Antelopes (GC) vs. Bulldogs (LT),
Point Spread: 2.50 | -105.00 Bulldogs (LT) (Home)
Result: Win
Good mid-majors on display here. The Lopes, who made the second round of the Dance last March, made a late push on Saturday after Georgia had extended the lead to double digits at Athens, and barely squeezing inside of the spread in the process. Tonight in Ruston, however, GCU is going to have to win this one outright, and we're not sure it will happen. The Lopes have had some very poor shooting displays like the 4 for 25 from deep that hurt them deeply last month in a loss to US Davis, and looked on the verge of losing contact on Saturday. Some regional observers who weren't sold on La Tech's 8-2 start changed their tune on Saturday when the Bulldogs raced past a competent Georgia Southern to improve to 9-2 in the process. Especially impressive was 6-5 Oklahoma transfer wing Kaden Cooper, who had his potential breakout game when scoring 25. Play La Tech
