What we saw was a continuation of poor recent form for Scotland that began in the later stage of the qualifiers thru friendlies leading up to the Euros. Not enough quality on the pitch, and certainly not with the cutting edge we saw from the Swiss, with Monaco's Breel Embolo and Ludogorets' Kwadwo Duah both netting in the opener and suggesting this Swiss edition has more firepower than the recent versions that have made it in consecutive knockout phases in the internationals.
