Padres at Phillies
(MLB) Padres (SDP) vs. Phillies (PHI),
Point Spread: -1.50 | 130.00 Phillies (PHI) (Home)
Result: Loss
Maybe a moral victory of sorts for the Padres on Tuesday, losing only 4-3, but it's still a loss, and that makes nine in a row on the road for San Diego. It's also another home win for the Phils, now 13-1 their last 14 at CBP. Will take our chances on those strings continuing in the Wednesday matinee even as Matt Waldron has been rather effective on the mound (1.86 ERA in three June starts) lately for the Padres. Ranger Suarez, however, has been effective all year for Philly, which is an eye-opening 13-1 in his starts this season. With a 10-1 record, 1.77 ERA, and 0.88 WHIP, Ranger might even be the pace-setter for NL Cy Young voting as of mid-June, and usually hands off the Phils in good position to his bullpen.
