Astros at Blue Jays
(MLB) Astros (HOU) vs. Blue Jays (TOR),
Money Line: -112.00 Astros (HOU) (Away)
Result: Win
Bad luck betrayed Toronto's Chris Bassitt in June, as despite positing a sparkling 1.,95 ERA for the month, the Blue Jays lost in four of his last five starts. All part of a bigger Toronto narrative that has seen the Jays peel away from the AL wild card race by losing 11 of their last 15. Meanwhile the Astros bounced back smartly from the tough loss on Tuesday at Rogers Centre by rolling 9-2 last night behind Roniel Blanco, and Framber Valdez can be up to the task on Thursday if he shakes off his start when raked hard in 4 2/3 IP by the Mets (six runs--three-earned--and eight hits allowed). Though worth noting that Houston still won that game as it has been doing regularly of late, now 11-2 across its last 13 and drawing within a game in the loss column behind the Mariners in the AL West after last night.
