The anti-Halo argument has a lot of support these days as the Angels return to the Big A having lost six of seven. That's not the worst of it, however, as the offense has been blanked three times and scored just once in another during the past five games. Jon Gray has had some bumpy outings lately, but the Halo alternative is young Davis Daniel, who after impressing in his 2024 debut vs. the Tigers on June 27 was pummeled last week in Oakland, allowing five runs (four earned) on seven hits, two of those homers, in only 5 1/3 IP of an eventual 5-0 loss.
