T.M. Selection: New York Yankees.

I like the New York Yankees to win this game against the Tampa Bay Rays on Tuesday.The Yankees haven't looked good lately losing 2 games in a row now but I think they are going to bounce back in this game. The Rays haven't had a great offense this year nor have they been scoring a lot of runs lately, but I see them getting shut down by the Yankees starter here. Nestor Cortes (9-3, 2.67 ERA) is up for the Yankees here and he has looked great in his starts all year. He hasn't given up many runs in his starts this year but he has also looked good lately, giving up no more than 3 runs in 5 starts in a row now. I expect him to continue pitching well here and I don't see the Rays offense putting up many runs since they haven't looked great lately. Jeffrey Springs (4-3, 2.56 ERA) is up for the Rays here and he has looked really good in his starts this year, but he isn't really the type of pitcher to go deeper than 5 innings usually and I expect the Yankees offense to put up some runs on him and the Rays bullpen. He did give up 2 runs against the Yankees last time he faced them which isn't bad but, I see Cortes going deep here shutting the Rays lineup down and I don't think the Yankees offense will need to do too much to win this game. I like the Yankees to win this game.
