T.M. Selection: Cleveland Guardians

I like the Cleveland Guardians to win this game against the New York Yankees on Friday. The Yankees won Game 1, 4-1 on Tuesday. After the game was supposed to be played yesterday, they'll play Game 2 on Friday in what is an extremely important game for both teams. As a road underdog this season, the Guardians were one of three teams that actually had a winning record. Shane Bieber (13-8, 2.88 ERA,) who's already pitched this postseason, will start for Cleveland in this one. He absolutely dominated the Rays in a 2-1 win last Friday. In that game he went 7.2 innings while giving up just three hits, one run and striking out 8. If he does that again in Game 2, the Guardians have a really good shot. Nestor Cortes (12-4, 2.44 ERA,) who popped on the scene this season, has been very good this season. There isn't too much bad stuff to say about him other than he will make his first career postseason start here. I expect this strong Guardians lineup to make solid contact to show him how they do it, but for this to be a very close game 2. Give me the Guards.
