T.M. Selection: Detroit Pistons

I like the Detroit Pistons to cover the spread against the Boston Celtics on Wednesday. Although these two teams are very different on paper, the Pistons are coming off a huge win that should give them confidence coming into this one. Detroit has one of the most talented young core of players in the NBA led by the back court of Cade Cunningham and Jaden Ivey. The Celtics enter this game off a hard fought win against the Grizzlies and might slightly overlook the Pistons here. With the excellent 7-3 record, the Celtics have not rebounded the ball well. They average just 41.2 rebounds per game which is the 26th best in the league. On the other hand, Detroit isn't the greatest either, but average 2.8 more rpg's as the C's do. Off three straight wins, and with the Nuggets up next, expect Boston to take the foot off of the gas pedal and not play as hard as they should against a well coached Detroit team here.
