I had a play on Boston on the runline last night, but did not even need the extra 1.5 runs in the Red Sox outright 6-4 victory. While the total flew well over the posted number, this second game here on Saturday night has all the makings of a classic pithcher's duel in my opinion. It's Nick Pivetta for the visitors and George Kirby for the home side. Pivetta was 10-9 with a 4.04 ERA last year, while Kirby was 13-10 with a 3.35 ERA. Kirby fared better in two matchups vs. the Red Sox, than Pivetta did vs. the M's, but regardless of that, I still feel the stage is set for a "duel" here after last night's "slug-fest."
