Padres over Mets- So, here we have the San Diego Padres who are 11 games under .500 losers of five straight are on the road where they are a dismal 12-20 favored at New York. Mets starter Daisuke Matsuzaka (3-0, 2.95 ERA) has been outstanding surrendering only 21 hits in 39.2 innings and yet the home team is an underdog. Either the Vegas oddsmakers know something or they have such high regard for Padres starter Ian Kennedy (5-7, 3.63) or realize how weak the Mets line-up actually is. Maybe it's because the Mets are 2-8 in theirlast10 as underdogs. Vegas tells me and I must follow their lead. Take SAN DEIGO!
