This is an 8* CUSTOMER APPRECIATION PLAY on the Giants.
I had a play on the Giants last night, and they let a lead slip away late, and then they lost in extra frames by a run.
What better time than right now to bounce back, especially with Alex Wood on the hill, as he's 2-0 with a 0.75 ERA. Wood has a sharp 11:1 K:BB over his first 12 innings and there's no reason to think that he can't keep the good times rolling here in friendly confines and vs. this "on again, off again" Rockies' offense.
German Marquez has a 3.45 ERA over 28.2 innings of work, to go along with a less impressive 28:16 K:BB.
I can't say too many negative things about Marquez, I just think that he's in the wrong place at the wrong time here.
I think Wood should/could in fact be a much larger favorite in this matchup considering his recent form. I'm laying the price, the play is SAN FRANCISCO.
