10* Hawks/49ers BLOCKBUSTER - 9-1 LAST YEAR
(NFL) Seattle vs. San Francisco, 01/14/2023 4:30 PM, Score: 23 - 41
Point Spread: 10.50 | -119.00 Seattle (Away)
Result: Loss
This is 10* BLOCKBUSTER on the Seahawks.

The Seahawks managed the 19-16 OT win over the Rams last week (I had LA and the points) to advance to this Wildcard matchup vs. division rival San Francisco on Saturday and I believe they can carry that momentum over here and, at the very least, keep this one close enough to earn a comfortable cover with the large spread that they've been afforded this weekend.

The old saying that it's difficult to beat a team three times in one season could not be more apt in this particular case. San Francisco won AND covered in both regular season games vs. the Hawks.

Seattle faded down the stretch, there's no question about that, but it did pull it together in the final two weeks to advance. Also, Geno Smith just passed Russell Wilson for most yards thrown in a regular season in franchise history. The whole Smith story is a great one.

The 49ers are on an amazing ten-game win streak. I think that fact though has inflated this line a few points higher than it really should be.

San Francisco's second half schedule wasn't exactly "murderer's row" or anything.

Seattle is well-coached and it has a great quarterback that gives his team much more than just a "punchers chance" in this matchup.

I'm not calling for the outright upset, but I'm grabbing the points.

The play is SEATTLE.

Good luck, NP
