The Dodgers dominated this season and are coming off a for game set against Arizona in which they took three of four. The Dodgers will look to put more distance between them and a division foe when they take on the San Diego Padres. The Dodgers will send Walker Buehler to the mound. In his first start of the season, he went 3.2 innings with 11 of the first twelve batters failing to get on base. Last season he went 14-4 with a 3.26 ERA and 215 strikeouts.

The Padres didn't fare as well this weekend, having dropped to of three to the Colorado Rockies in Colorado. The Padres will look to gain some ground on the Dodgers by sending Chris Paddack to the hill. He has two starts this season, going 1-0 with a 1.64 ERA and 10 strikeouts in 11.0 innings. Last season he went 9-7 with a 3.33 ERA and 153 strikeouts. In three games against the Dodgers, he posted a 5.65 ERA.

This is going to be a close game as both pitchers have shown they can shut teams down. The Dodgers have a potent offense but the Padres bats do have some pop. I see some value he on the Padres and Paddock against the Dodgers.
