4*
(MLB) Oakland vs. LA Angels,
Money Line: 102.00 Oakland (Away)
Result: Win
Edwin Jackson has settled in nicely with the Oakland A's. Jackson (3-2, 2.87 ERA) will be trying to win three consecutive starts for the first time in five years. He hasn't allowed an earned run in his past two outings, blanking the visiting Toronto Blue Jays on three hits over 5 2/3 innings of a 10-1 win on July 30, and allowing five hits and one unearned run over 6 1/3 innings of a 2-1 victory against the visiting Detroit Tigers last Saturday. The A's are one of the hottest teams in baseball and coming off a loss last night. They scored 3 runs in the 1st inning and didn't score the rest of the game. Oakland is 36-16 in their last 52 games overall, and this team is making a big push toward the playoffs. Edwin Jackson will be pitching on extra rest. He has a 2.87 ERA and is coming off a great start against Detroit. Jackson has won six of his eight starts and 3 in a row, and I think he will be able to shut down an Angels lineup that will be without Mike Trout again. Lets take the A's again on Saturday.
