#108 ASA FREE PLAY ON NY Giants +1.5 over Dallas, Sunday at 1:00 PM ET - If Washington loses to Philly on Sunday, the winner of this game captures the NFC East title. Not sure why Dallas is the favorite here. Recency bias is the only explanation. The Cowboys have won 3 straight however those wins were vs Cincinnati in a game they were outgained by 37 years, vs a short handed San Francisco team in a game Dallas was outgained by 137 yards, and vs Philly last week. The Giants, on the other hand, have lost 3 straight coming on the heels of a 4 game winning streak. However, those losses were all vs playoff teams (or playoff caliber teams) Arizona, Cleveland, and Baltimore. That explains why Dallas is favored which we don’t agree with. Giants QB Jones is back to full strength now after a hamstring injury kept him out of 2 of their last 4 contests. He played well last week with 252 yards passing vs Baltimore and looked much better moving around than in previous weeks. His absence is part of the reason the Giants offense hasn’t looked great over the last month. With Jones back facing a Dallas defense ranked 26th in the NFL (also without their top LB VanderEsch), the G-Men will look much better offensively here. Dallas is also without a few other starters on defense due to covid protocol. The Giants have the much better defense ranking 12th in the NFL. During their recent 4 game winning streak they allowed just 12, 17, 17 and 20 points. Their last 3 games they faced three very good offenses (teams listed above) and held each below their season scoring average. This look ahead line last week was NY -3. Now because of last week’s results they are getting points vs an ALWAYS overvalued Cowboy team. Take the points here.
