ASA FREE PLAY ON Clemson -4.5 over NC State, Tuesday at 7 PM ET - Clemson steps into this game with a near perfect 8-1 record despite playing one of the toughest schedules in the country thus far. Seven of their nine opponents rank inside the top 75. Their only loss was @ Virginia Tech 66-60 in a game they shot just 38% and made 13 fewer FT’s. The fact they kept it close with those numbers is impressive. Of their 6 wins vs teams inside the top 75, 5 of those came by at least 8 points including wins over Florida State, Alabama, Purdue, and Maryland to name a few. The Tigers defense has been outstanding not allowing a single opponent to top 70 points this season while ranking 2nd nationally in defensive efficiency. NC State is 6-1 on the year, however 4 of their 7 games have come against teams ranked 220th or lower. They highest rated team they’ve played was St Louis who beat the Wolfpack by 11 points. That was also their only true road game of the season. They may also be without one of their top inside players, Manny Bates, who has a bad ankle and was limited to just 7 minutes in their most recent game.
