This is a 10* SUPER DOG PLAY on the Miami Marlins.
The Mets have won the first three games of this four-game series, but I think they'll have a predictable letdown here.
This one sets up well for the Marlins to bounce back and for the Mets to have a letdown. New York scratched scheduled starter Steven Matz late Wednesday and have inserted closer Seth Lugo into this spot. Lugo (1-2, 2.61 ERA) has plenty of success vs. the Fish, but who doesn't?
This is an entirely different pre-game warm up and task being asked for Lugo here and I think he'll struggle.
Daniel Castano (0-1, 4.35) gets the nod for the Fish who gave up one run over six innings in a tough no-decision in his last start. Castano struck out two, but kept the Braves line-up off balance all night.
This is a great "situational" play in my opinion; the play is the Marlins!
